Remake of Zanjeer creates some tension in the Khan family

There's an idea for the remake of superhit film Zanjeer co-written by Salim Khan. Salim is against the idea, while his son, Salman Khan, supports it.

Salim Khan doesn't approve of the idea of remaking the breakthrough film Zanjeer, which he had co-written with partner Javed Akhtar. But son Salman Khan has his own ideas on the case.

In a recent press conference, Salman was asked about Zanjeer remake. He said, "Of course there should be a remake of Zanjeer. Zanjeer was a superb and really good film."

Salman didn't miss the opportunity to make a comment on Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don since his father had co-written the script of the original. Citing the example of Don, he said, "Don was remade twice. First was remake and the second was a sequel of a remake."

Zanjeer remake is being produced by Amit Mehra. It will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. Telugu superstar Ram Charan Teja will make his Bollywood debut with this film.

We wonder what Salim Khan has to say on this.
